At its annual meeting on April 6, 2011, the Joint Commission on National Dental Examinations (JCNDE) appointed Dr. Pam Sims as an alternate test constructor on the National Board Pharmacology Test Construction Committee (TCC) for 2012.
On August 5th and 6th, with Dr. Patrick Louis, as part of the UAB School of Dentistry CE Program, Dr. Pam Sims provided a two day course entitled "A Review & Update in Conscious Sedation & General Anesthesia" for dentists and physicians
Dr. Pam Sims has been identified by Lexicomp as a nationally recognized expert on Dental Pharmacology and invited to serve as one of three Contributing Authors for their Dental Drug Information Products.
Dr. Greg Gorman and Lori Coward along with NCI and CDG Therapeutics co-authors published “Preclinical pharmacokinetics, metabolism, and toxicity of azurin-p28 (NSC745104) a peptide inhibitor of p53 ubiquitination” in the August 2011 edition of Cancer Chemotherapy and Pharmacology.
