DIC Computer Resource Programs

In additional to the resources listed below, the DIC has other excellent pharmaceutical databases and reference resources programs on the Internet Databases Web page. Each DIC PC has the full Microsoft Office 2007, which includes Word, Excel, Access, etc.

IDIS 
The Iowa Drug Information Service is available on pc workstation 12; however, the database is current only through Dec 2004. 

SPSS 
SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) exists only on pc workstations #22, 12, 07 and 1. Use the Start button and select the program. Each year, a new SPSS version is licensed to Samford.

Scanner 
Computer work station 23 has a scanner to include optical character reader (OCR) capability.  The scanner is a Hewlett Packard 8200 model and has a separate OCR software function.
