I chose MSOP because I wanted to be more than just a face in the crowd of aspiring Pharmacists. I wanted to be Roneasa Garner, the individual with goals to effect changes in healthcare.
I chose Samford University because I wanted to pursue my chosen profession at a university that would allow and encourage me to utilize my spiritual gifts to serve others as a pharmacist.
While previously working in a pharmacy as a technician, I constantly came in contact with a host of MSOP alumni and students who were some of the most knowledgeable, professional, and caring individuals that I had ever met. I immediately knew that if blessed with the opportunity, I would want to pattern myself after those exemplary individuals.
The beautiful campus is complimented with an outstanding faculty and staff. I have been impressed with not only the emphasis placed on academics, but also the importance of serving others. It is an awesome experience to develop as a professional while preparing in a Christian environment.
After researching and visiting the school, I became determined to obtain my education at MSOP due to its commitment to God and dedication to providing an exceptional education within a Christian community and its reputation of producing extraordinary pharmacists.
I chose the McWhorter School of Pharmacy because it was clear to me that its mission and visions aligned directly with my own. It has been very rewarding to be a part of an institution that strives to advance the profession of pharmacy and does so in a way that emphasizes a patient-centered approach to healthcare.
I knew that Samford was the place that I wanted to obtain my education due to its long history of producing exceptional pharmacists. It not only provides students with the tools to succeed in an everchanging world of healthcare, but also provides a Christian atmosphere upon which to grow in our faith.
